Migrant Action Trust provides driving lessons, employment services and other community-based workshops for refugees/ migrants, single mothers and other vulnerable community members.

Working as their Graphic and Marketing Volunteer, I and my teammate worked on rebranding MAT (mainly logo). MAT had been using its logo for the past 20 years, where they wanted to keep the brand colours and take inspiration from the old logo to give it a modern look.

Since this trust caters to Migrants/ Refugees to help them integrate into New Zealand/ Maori culture, we chose the Maori values of Whanaungatanga, Kaitiakitanga and Manaakitanga to represent each colour. It was an absolute joy to work in creating a new face for such a good cause.

I am now solely working as their graphic designer, where I have worked on designing their business card, email letterhead, web banners and marketing collaterals for their community event that included flyers, brochures, online banners, personalized items like collapsible water bottles, belt bags, sunglasses, wrist bands. All the work so far has been produced as per Trust’s approval and likening.
